The company award winning safety program emphasizes employee responsibility, supervisor accountability and the strong, uncompromising support from its senior management. With pre-mobilization planning to its stringent PPE requirements and its state of the art fall protection program, CECO expects each employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrived.
CECO’s new employee orientation program includes pre-placement drug screening, post offer medical examinations and a customized Safety Orientation Video available in both English and Spanish .
Pre-Task Safe Work Plans along with Flex and Stretch warm up exercises are used by supervisors to prepare employees for work each day. Supervisors hold Weekly Toolbox meetings with their crews using customized company training topics.
On CECO sites, nationwide, safety is promoted with regular attention to hazard identification and correction. Regular safety inspections are conducted by site personnel. Unannounced safety audits are frequently performed by senior management and safety personnel to assess company performance.

In January of 2008, the company launched its NEW information sharing and web based training platform, CECONet. This system allows for “anytime, any place, at any pace” employee access to learning content and administration.
The company has and continues to develop Best Practices
for all major formwork systems and other important company processes. These best practice standards establish continuous learning and improvement, in a format that is easy to understand. Supervisors and employees are provided with illustrated, step by step guidelines to building processes safely, productively and with quality.
To compliment its Best Practice Standards, the company developed a BuildSafe video training series in both English and Spanish for each of its Best Practices. This video training series provides short, customized, training for company supervisors and employees.
