As Preconstruction Manager Scott oversees all estimating and preconstruction efforts for Ceco’s concrete formwork and concrete frame construction projects in the Northwest region and beyond. He has been working for Ceco Concrete Construction Seattle since 2005, bringing us a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah and an MBA from Arizona State University. Scott is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and applies this expertise in collaborating with customers in the planning phases of the project to provide valuable constructability input.

As a member of the Ceco BIM Committee Scott is responsible for driving the innovation of new tools and techniques to deliver a superior and more cost effective concrete formwork or concrete frame construction product to our customers. Scott has worked on some of our more high profile projects at Ceco including:

  • Escala Resort
  • University of Oregon Basketball Arena
  • 2201 9th Ave.
  • Starbucks Office Building
  • 8th and Olive Building
  • Lemay Car Museum
  • Stadium Place
  • Amazon World Headquarters
  • Utah State Capitol Restoration

“I enjoy working with Ceco because of the depth of experience and knowledge of those that I work with,” explains Scott. “It is extremely rare that we are presented with a problem that someone in ours or another Ceco office has not dealt with previously. The network of information and experience is invaluable to innovation and finding the best solution.”

“One of my favorite memories is from a rather typical and ordinary project. At the Oregon State Hospital we did three phases that were all very similar. Because of the repetitive nature of the project we had the opportunity to dial-in the construction process to an extremely efficient process. Each phase was improved upon and the final result was a system that has since been widely adopted in other areas of the country. The project was very successful and several innovations and ideas which resulted from this project have benefited other projects as well.”
